Call for Hospitality Volunteers

Spice Without Borders is inviting enthusiastic volunteers to join the Hospitality Team for the Inaugural Spicy Awards 2026.

Hospitality volunteers will help create a warm, professional, and memorable experience for guests throughout the Spicy Awards.

What Will You Do?

Hospitality volunteers will help deliver a warm, organized and professional guest experience throughout the event.

Guest Experience
  • Welcome and receive guests.
  • Register and accredit attendees.
  • Direct guests to seating and event facilities.
  • Provide guest information and hospitality support.
VIP, Speaker & Awardee Support
  • Assist VIPs, speakers, nominees, award recipients, and special guests.
  • Coordinate guest movement and photography moments.
  • Support stage management and award presentations.
Event Operations
  • Support the protocol and event management teams.
  • Assist with venue setup and post-event wrap-up.
  • Help maintain an efficient flow of guests and activities.

Represent the professionalism, warmth, and values of Spice Without Borders throughout the event.

No previous event experience is required for many volunteer roles. Enthusiasm, commitment, and a willingness to learn are equally valued.

  • Aged 18 years and above (or with parental consent where applicable).

  • Available during volunteer orientation, training, and event dates.

  • Based in, or able to report to, Nairobi on the event date.

What to Expect

Before the Event
  • A volunteer orientation and briefing.
  • Role-specific training and assignment.
  • An official volunteer schedule.
At the Event
  • Event accreditation and identification.
  • Meals and refreshments during assigned shifts.
  • Ongoing support from the Volunteer Coordination Team.

Volunteers are expected to act professionally, respect confidentiality where applicable, and provide a welcoming experience for all participants and guests.
